WWE Superstars

WWE Superstars

This action-filled show features back-to-back wrestling matches in an hour of nonstop slug fests. Some fans say it is all an elaborate farce, and some say the fights are real. Whichever side of the divide you fall on, you can watch WWE Superstars online for some of the most captivating programming ever.

Wrestling has two clearly defined teams. In every match, there is a good guy and a bad guy. In the case of tag-team matches, there are good teams and bad teams. The fights are designed to get the crowd involved by any means necessary, and there is nothing the promoters will not do to that end.

The bad guys usually come out wearing black or some other dark color, leaving no doubt as to which side they are playing on. From the moment they walk out, you can hear the crowd booing. They normally have some stage name depicting their evil character. They try to antagonize the crowd as much as they try to beat their opponents. They go behind the referee’s back and sneak in an illegal kick, poke or jab while taunting the audience.

The good fighters stride into the arena accompanied by an appropriately heroic anthem blasting over the speakers. They float in on clouds of cheers from a crowd that’s desperate for them to annihilate their common enemy. The nice guys thrive on the love of the crowd. A typical scenario will have them on the ground motionless as the referee slowly bangs a 10-count on the mat. Suddenly the good guy weakly wiggles a thumb or finger. The more loudly the crowd roars, the more strength he gains until he painstakingly hauls himself up the ropes and is once again, miraculously, standing upright.

Who’s Who in the WWE

There are many great WWE Superstars; here are a few of the champions and belt-holders that will really keep you on the edge of your seat when you watch WWE Superstars online.

Brock Lesnar holds the most coveted belt in all of wrestling. He is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He is 6-foot-3, weighs 286 pounds and his signature moves are the F-5, the Kimura Lock and the Brock Lock.

Dolph Ziggler stands at 6 feet, weighs 213 pounds and is the current Intercontinental Champion. He is known for putting them down with moves like the Zig Zag, the Famouser and the Blonde Ambition.

Sheamus is 6-foot-4 and weighs a hefty 267 pounds. He hails from Dublin, Ireland, but is the reigning United States Champion. He has several patented moves, but some of his most recognizable are the Brogue Kick, White Noise and the Irish Curse.

Paige is the only female belt-holder at this time. The 5-foot-8, 120-pound fighting machine is the Divas Champion. She loves viciously slamming her opponents to the mat in her signature move called the Paige-Turner. She is also known for using the Hair Toss and the Knight Rider.

The current WWE Tag Team Champions are Samoan twin brothers Jey (6-foot-2, 228 pounds) and Jimmy (6-foot-3, 251 pounds) Uso. The Uso brothers are only 29 years old and have taken the wrestling world by storm. They polish off rivals with moves like the Double Diving Splash, the Double Elbow Drop and the Double Head Butt Drop.

The Shows

The wrestlers travel and stage heavily promoted matches all over the World. But if you are not able to make a particular fight, you can always watch WWE Superstars online. The main title matches are broken down and spread across three main shows. The fights are pretty evenly distributed among WWE Smackdown, WWE Raw and WWE’s Main Event.

Some of the contests you don’t want to miss when you watch WWE Superstars online are:

The Royal Rumble – Up to 30 wrestlers vie to be the victor. They can only get rid of another fighter by slinging him over the top rope of the ring. The winner is the last man standing.

Money in the Bank – Numerous wrestlers are thrown into the ring with one ladder. At the top of the ladder is a briefcase containing the WWE Heavyweight Championship belt, and the first man to successfully scramble to the top and grab the briefcase wins the spoils.

Hell in a Cell – A multitude of wrestlers are locked in a steel cage that surrounds the ring. The cage stands 24 feet high, and there is no way out. There are no rules and no fouls. The victory is gained by submission in the pen.

Buried Alive – A hole is dug in the ground outside of the wrestling ring. The object is for one fighter to beat the other down, drag him from the ring and hurl him into the grave. The winner is decided when one fighter dumps 10 shovelfuls of dirt (similar to a 10-count in the ring) into the grave on top of the limp body in the hole.

Last Ride – The wrestlers battle each other until one of them is completely knocked out. There are no disqualifications, and nothing is considered illegal. This is one of the few matches in which the combatants are free to use chairs, pipes, chains or any other weapons at hand. The conqueror is the one who beats down the other fighter, forces him into the back of a waiting hearse and drives triumphantly out of the arena.
